3D Cartoons
3D Cartoons
If 2d cartoons are the same as two dimensional cartoons, it only follows that 3d cartoons pertain to three-dimensional cartoons. The difference between the two is very apparent. The former only shows two sides of a cartoon while the latter shows three sides making the cartoon more real and life-like.
Antz, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 3, Monsters, Inc., Kung Fu Panda… These are but a few movies you can see in the list of 3d animated films. This shows that while 2d cartoons have their own charms, 3d cartoons are more appreciated nowadays.
Creating 3d cartoons is more complicated if compared to 2d cartoons. It is impossible to make 3d cartoons using pen and paper. We strongly suggest that you get yourself an animation software program before thinking of making your own 3d cartoon. One of the best animation softwares in the market is 3D Studio Max. If you want to try out another software, nobody is stopping you. The process is more or less the same anyway regardless of which program you prefer to use. Other softwares designed for creating 3d cartoons or animations are Poser, Daz 3d, Bryce, Carrara, Maya, Blender, and Animation Master.
After getting your hands on one animation software, the next step is to know how to operate the program. This is where tutorials come in. You can skip 3d animation schools. Aside from being expensive, there is a better alternative for you. Go online and search for available tutorials for the animation software you have downloaded. It will be better if you look for lessons which also have videos. This way, you can set your own pace. You can learn the basics during the weekend and move on to intermediate courses by Monday.
